Now things have settled down a bit on the domestic front post the re-union I would very much like to say that on Sunday morning the opinion of everyone was that it was a fantastic Saturday evening due, in no small way to yours and Nikki's efforts, it was the first re-union that such a large number have stayed until the end. For that I thank you. Our secretary could not believe his luck he came over to Dave and myself and speaking in the vernacular plus a few superlative adjectives said "------- Marvellous

Firstly may I say a big thank you for providing the entertainment for last night's re-union. That was the first time that our membership has stayed dancing to the end, we have never enjoyed a dance and sing song during the meal before, all due to your superb efforts. I have spoken to a lot of our members and 99.9% have only praise for the evening. From a personal view it was the best Saturday evening I have had for a long time, also I have never seen our secretary so pleased.

Dear Phil and Nikki,

I just wanted to say thank you for making it such a lovely evening for my Nan on her 80th birthday. Everyone we have spoken to have said how much they enjoyed the evening and the entertainment. Unfortunately I think the
unexpected heat did put a few people off dancing, but they did enjoy the sing-a-longs and the quizzes. Despite Nan's hearing aid going (typical!) she also immensely enjoyed the evening and is still talking about it! So thank you again, I will certainly recommend you to anyone I know who wants first class entertainers for a similar event.

Hi Phil and Nikki,
Thank you so much for entertaining us so well last night , Every one said they had a lovely time . I know not too many got up and danced, but they did appreciate the music you played and the efforts you made in giving everyone such a good time . Mum was in tears this morning saying how wonderful it was. You really did us proud. Mum has not stopped talking about it and every one enjoyed you.

P.S. What nice people you are and we will certainly tell others about your photography , as you say wedding photography is very expensive! Also it's the personality of the photographers which is also important, so would certainly recommend you and wish you well with this this new venture , glad to hear you are not giving up Flickers though.

We reckon to have raised over £1500 which is great - but most important to me is that people enjoyed themselves - and were confirming they want tickets for Feb 17th. (at this rate I'll sell out before Xmas!)

A 1960's 1970's Charity night for Kempston Rotary Club (This was our second visit this year)

Thank you both so much for really making Mum's 60th party on Saturday. Everyone had a brilliant time and really enjoyed the atmosphere that you both helped to create. You really read the plan of the evening well, from arrival, through food, to getting everyone on the floor dancing. Thank you also for indulging niece Poppy with a second play of "Amarillo", you made her night, it was the " Best Party She's Ever Been To! !". I'll be sure to recommend Flickers Golden Oldies to anyone looking for a great D.J. team.

I didn't manage to send this e-mail last night - just sort of collapsed when we got home - guess you two may be rather tired too!

Well, what can I say? - you exceeded my expectations and I can't ask for more than that - had I got very positive feed back last night and expect more in the coming weeks.

Just wanted to say a big thank you from mum and all our family for such a great night of music that was enjoyed by all. Having just read mums guest book the most amazing comments were made about you, one being from a 13 year old girl who wrote, "I really loved all the music and it was great to see everybody singing along and having such a good time, that's not something you'd see at a disco"

We didn't get quite the turn out we'd hoped for as 200 people were invited, never mind, their loss. Anyway, thank you both once again, everybody has commented on you both and several have taken your phone number from me for parties in the future

Thank you again for the excellent musical mixture through last Friday evening (3/12/04). It was a refreshing change to be able to hold a meaningful conversation in almost every corner of the clubhouse both during the meal and whilst dancing was in progress. I have lost count of the number of wedding receptions, anniversaries etc that I have attended where the disco/music provider gradually winds up the volume as the evening progresses, sometimes past my pain threshold, almost invariably killing any form of conversation except by sign language. With the musical content, good presentation and consideration given to audio levels within your show, it will be of no great surprise to anyone that this will be the third consecutive year that we will have booked you

Things are still very hectic, Xmas on the way but I wanted to take a few moments to thank you for a wonderful evening (20/11/04), You guys really know how to give people a good time. The phone hasn't stopped ringing since the party and everyone said how wonderful you both were.

A cracking evening from start to finish . Totally knackered the following morning but loved every minute!

What a great party,, everyone was so impressed by you,, thank you so very much for making it a very special evening

After seeing you at Basingstoke Royal British Legion last year we are looking forward to your visit to our Newbury Branch when you are to be providing the Entertainment for our Trafalgar Night.

I have been a DJ for many years so I know what's good and what's not in this business. When I got married and needed someone to provide the music for my reception it had to be someone incredibly good, after all I am a bit pickie. Flickers (Phil and Nikki) were the only people I could choose. They were the only outfit that could live up to the high standards I require, and boy do they live up to it. If theirs is the type of music you require then you couldn't get any better. Long may they keep doing what they do.

You provided the music for my mums recent 60th birthday party. The selection of music was very good. We really enjoyed the Motown music, and Glen Miller music.

Just to say thank you both so very much for an evening of wonderful entertainment. We all had a great evening and enjoyed your music and company. You played all of dads favourite music. The photographs are great. It was such a shame to cut that cake! Great photo of Mum and Dad although Dad still looks in total shock towards the end of the evening! A big Thank you too from mum and dad.

Thanks for last night . I had a feeling it wasn't going to be a "dancey" sort of do because of the age group and many had not seen each other for years so preferred to sit down and talk, although you did manage to get some on the floor. The choice of music and level were excellent. The surprise element remained intact to the end and my parents enjoyed a memorable evening.

I and everyone who attended my husbands' party on Friday night the 20th at The Southampton Park Hotel had a wonderful time and even the young ones loved your music. As you say on your website, Magic -pure magic! We will definitely be booking you again and we will be recommending you to all and sundry. A great time was had by all.

Everybody has said that the music was just right and they were able to enjoy not only the music and the dancing and singing along but that they could also enjoy chatting to each other and catching up on all the news because they could hear themselves over the music.

Even my children have been singing the old songs since the night - and they were not really looking forward to going but had to admit they had a great time and that the old songs were good!!

Anyway I have kept your details because I shall be putting on a party next July for my parents 60th wedding anniversary and I will definitely be calling upon your services for that.

At the end of the evening we were approached by the writer of the above, who reiterated what he had written earlier. We explained that, 99% of our bookings are for people that are fed up with entertainers that are far too loud, and we added that, to us, it was a real compliment that there was someone in our audience that thought the music was not loud enough.

He was most surprised when we thanked him for his comments and became even more perplexed when we asked his permission to post the above on our website.

We did intend to scan and publish all the letters we have received commenting on our Professionalism, Etc. but we thought it an unnecessary operation. We have selected just a few and decided that Prospective clients can contact any of the people listed on the "Previous Clients" page direct and so we have decided to leave it there.

Remember, We are a specialised Golden Oldies Outfit and will not, and do not, take bookings for 21st Birthday Parties, 18th Birthday Parties, Weddings (unless both parties are 40 plus years old), or the like. In fact we decline any bookings where the average age of the audience is 40 years old or less.

We are only interested in entertaining the more mature, discerning people of this planet.

We wish you best of luck and hope you make the right decision.. You will know within one hour of the start of your function whether or not you have made the right choice but of course by then there is no going back.................

(You don't entertain at Butlins year after year, at various functions, unless you really know what you are doing)
